So only when Im driving on the higher side of highway speeds do I hear a buzzing sound near driver kick panel.
Thinking maybe a relay. Found only one near the area; pictured below.
Any idea if this could be the source? If so, why and wth does it do?
Would like to figure this out before putting my dash back together.
LMK thoughts
TIA

Nope, not like that. Sounds like arching or a relay.Originally Posted by Guywitha92
I have a buzzer for my seatbelts. It goes crazy unless im buckled up
I always wear my seat belt and dash signifies when it's disconnected.
That said, it doesnt signify belt undone when buzzing.

Google says part # 56021551 is a turn signal relay. Search for 'Cherokee turn signal relay buzzing'. Seems to be a common problem.
Skip ahead to the 15 second mark. I found that searching for 'turn signal relay buzzing'.

Very strange, never has it once ever made the noise using the turns or hazzards. Only 70+ MPH.
Doesnt sound like that.
Also, it doesnt buzz at that rate. As fast as you can read; bzzz, bzz, bz ,bz, done...

Funny you should post this. I have a 98 XJ and this happened to be the other day with my left turn signal. not quite as loud or fast but I can hear it and my left signal wouldnt work unless I flipped it off then back on. that did the trick. it happened once when I first got the vehicle then hasnt happened for awhile then a few times in one day the other day

My XJ does this every great once in a while and only when i have one of the blinker directional lights on.
If this only happens when you turn on the directional lights then replace the directional blinker relay and call it a day.

jiggle your turn signal stalk next time it does it, see if it goes away. Also try turning on your turn signal to see if that has an effect. My 99 did that and I had to replace the multifunction switch.
