I have a 2000 xj and I put my drivers side window down and now it won't come back up, the motor works fine up and down. I tore the door panel off and the spiral cable closest to the door lock is just laying in the bottom of door, it works goes in and out but I don't know how it attaches to the window guide. Has anyone had this problem before.

Yeah a lot of us have had that problem, Mine broke in the damn rain! It went down, started clicking and that was it. It's the window regulator, From what I've read the original design was poor and there's a plastic tab that breaks off. I just ended up replacing mine.
