1) has anyone ditched their mechanical fan for another electrical fan?
2) If I pull an electric fan from an xj at a jy will I be able to fit it in the spot where the mechanical fan currently is? Just curious, seems like a good upgrade and I'm going on a jy spree this week and was wondering if it would be worth getting.
3) does anyone know what the cfm ratings are for the stock electric and mechanical fans on an xj? Just curious.
Thanks

I have seen it done not sure if I would do it though. The clutch fan when working properly puts out alot more air.
I have read about people swapping in the dual Taurus fan. Might be something to check on.

Interesting... Good info.
Might be something I'll look into in the near future. I actually just did this to my '02 GMC Sierra, but it's easy on those since after '05 they came from the factory with e-fans so parts are easy to find without too much customization. But I also had to upgrade to a higher output alternator to support the e-fans and I also wonder if this is a concern on the XJ?
