Here's something fun that started a few days ago. I walk up to my Jeep, I click the remote to unlock all the doors, I pull the driver's door open, hop inside the Jeep, pull the door shut, and half way through the door shutting, I can hear all the doors electronic locks popping open again as if I pressed the door unlock button, but I haven't.

I remember when I first bought the Jeep the speakers not working and having to solder the speaker wires in the rubber boot that goes from the door to the body, I get the feeling which ever wire is in charge of the unlocking is shorting out when the door is mid way through being closed. Funny enough, when I open the door to get out, nothing clicks or pops, it is only while shutting the door.

Anyone know off hand which color coded wire maybe the culprit? or is there a schematic or driver side door wiring diagram for 2001 xj kicking around the forum?

You can download the FSM for your jeep from cruiser54.com for free and it has all the wiring diagrams in it. I think it's section 8W.
