E-Fan/ A/C question
I have a 2000 cherokee and my electric fan comes on if it gets warm, but it doesn't come on with the a/c which I thought it was suppose to. I let it idle in my garage turned on a/c it didn't come on so I thought it was burned out so I double checked and unplugged the sensor from the stat housing and it came on and threw a cel. So I plugged it back in let it idle with the a/c on and it got a little past 210 on the gauge and the e fan came on. So I turned the a/c off and then turned it back on and the e fan never came on. Just under the impression the e fan is suppose to come on whenever you turn on the a/c. Also now that I have a cel will it go away on its own or do I need to undo the battery to reset it? Any advice?

'00-'01 efans do not "turn on" when the compressor 1st engages.....they turn on only when refrigerant pressure reaches X psi and/or when coolant temp reaches 218F. '99 down efans turn on when the compressor 1st engages and at 218 coolant temp.
