Dye
Is it safe to put dyes in oil, coolant, A/C. Several quality mechanics advised not to! I don't see what it would hurt. The oil and coolant could be simply replaced after I fixed the leaks. Any advice?

yes tou can just make sure you use the correct dye for the correct fluid. i work at a gm dealer and in some cases gm requires an oil dye test for leaks to be covered under warranty.

As long as you are using the specific dye for the specific fluid, you should be fine.
The dyes are engineered to mix with the fluid and are a small volume.
