Dual transmission coolers?
So I was looking online at transmission coolers and noticed that they have really big ones and small ones. Now I got a stock one out of a grand Cherokee at the pick n pull for I think 10$. Now if I got 2 or even 3 of them and hosed them all together on the jeep would that work?

No. That is exreme over kill and you need some form of warm trans fluid to make your trans happy. If you run 3 external coolers it most certainly will not even get slightly warm! Stick with an OEM cooler or slightly bigger. The aW4 trans is meant to operate at 210 degrees....keep that in mind

Ok i was just curious cause I got a stock one and I see tons of them around and I see the big ones. I guess If I plan on doing it I should get a trans in and out temp gauge to really see if it would be bad or not.

I don't think any auto tranny was designed to operate at 210.....that's why the factory cooler is located in the colder tank of the radiator. If the cold tank is 210, how hot is the hot tank?
One auxiliary cooler should be sufficient. More coolers increase chance of excessive pressure drop. There are some really good JY finds....my opinion is that used tranny coolers are NOT a good find. Who knows what kind of scale/build-up is coating the internals and can the crud be thoroughly cleaned out? Will the crud sluff off and enter your tranny.

If you get a small size cooler for a good price, $10 was a great deal, and you can get a second, yes I would run the pair. You can flush and blow thru with air also. Use excellent qualtiy hose and clamps and don't let the hose kink at installation. Your trans will appreciate the cooling.

My Trans Am has a cooler the size of the radiator.... just saying.. Do what you want but cooler is always better. If you want the trans fluid warmer, simply don't bypass the radiator cooler and it will act as a fluid warmer
