meant to say dana 30 front axle!!
Reason im dropping is mainly to grind off old trackbar mount thats completely shot and weld in new track bar mount that i order from serious offroad.
buutt figured while its off theres a few other things i can do
my idea was to check all the bushings in my long arms ( roughcountry 4.5" longarm ) but not exactly sure how i even go about checking them? besides a nice cleaning and visual inspection?? any suggestions?
and then also take the diff cap off and take a good look in there.
never done anything with removing axle shafts in a jeep. ( bought mine pre modified. ) is that something i should check while its off? if so how so? links would be helpful or just let me know i should check em out and i can find a link im sure..
anything else i should check while its off?
any opinions are greatly appreciated

If you are talking front. Check wheel bearings, steering, ball joints. Change fluid, check brakes, make sure your vent tube isn't cracked letting mud into the axle. Check/replace axle seals. If you have a jeep, I recommend getting a good manual for it if you dont know that much. It covers removing axle shafts and such. Lifted jeeps require more upkeep than your regular car.

duhh
i totally new it was a dana 30 idk where 35 came from.. esp since i have the 8.25 rear lol
anyyways steering is fine i know that just upgraded to currie steering and new durango box and c-rok plate.
and ball joints and wheel bearing seem fine? iirc isnt that something thats normally tested on the car? so you can put more leverage on the wheel to find out if its moving?
and ya i have eric zappe's xj builder's guide but it doesnt talk about pulling **** apart much. maybe i should invest ina manual.. but wrtfm hahaha

are axle seals something thats only checkable by removing diff carrier and ring gear and such? so basically if your gonna check em might as well replace em?
