Default Driveshaft

I have a driveshaft question.Is there a way I can pre-determine the driveshaft length need for a re 3.5 lift??I would like to be able to order the correct length with my lift.Thanks for any info!!!!

Stock front drive shaft will work fine for 3.5". Can be had on Ebay or the junkyard for $20, just redu the Ujoints for another $45 and your set.

i run two front shafts on a RE 5.5"

Ive heard of the stock fronts being use before.Is there any welding or cutting involved or is this a bolt on upgrade.

before we get too out of hand here are you doing an SYE? thats the only requirement to run the front shaft

Yes I am going to run the sye.Not sure if im going with re or rustys.Any suggestions on that?Or witch works best with the stock front dshaft?

Any advice on sye kit.I am not new to turning wrenches,but I will admit I know very litle about an sye kit?

are you doing a hack and tap or a full SYE kit

if you want to stay cheap the Rubicon Express H&T seems to be pretty popular

Cheap is fine as long as it works and works well.I am looking @ the rubicon express .What is the difference between the two?

the hack and tap cuts your existing shaft coming out of the t-case and you tap the remaining shaft. a full SYE replaces the entire shaft
