Driver Area Trim Removal
Does anyone know of a write up or know how to remove the A pillar plastic trim on a 97+ XJ to facilitate putting wires behind it?
I've tried tucking them behind it to no avail, they work their way back out.
Also I removed the kick panel on the floor along with the lower part of the steering wheel plastic as well as the other part of the kick panel holding the wiring harness, I tried to remove the panel holding the cover for the vent between the door and steering column, but there is one screw i cant get to right by the door moulding.
Any thoughts are appreciated.

Saturday I removed my headliner and most of the upper trim. (on my 90). (found that "board" to be some sort of pressed fiber which is now junk). Most of that trim had screws and was straight forward. Had some confusion with the upper pieces up front. Turns out they had those ribbed plastic spine type deals that just press in/pry out. The same sort you find on door panels. If you have no screws holding your post trim maybe it just pries off.
* It's not necessary to remove the headliner and all the trim to find nail holes in the roof. They can be easily viewed from above.
** The rack mounts do not seem to be prone to leaking.
