Default Driveline stick in transfer case

So a while ago I was pulling out onto the high way and my ujoint snapped at the rear end and in the process the rear driveline got stuck in the transfer case. I towed it to a buddy's house and a couple days later I came back and tried everything from hammers to pry bars to even blocking the tires and hooking a tow strap to the driveline and tried pulling on it with my truck. I didn't yanking on it too hard cause I didn't want to hurt the transfer case more than I already had. Have any of you had this problem or have any ideas on how to get it out. Thanks in advance.

What year XJ?

Could try removing the tail cone, but chances are the main shaft and some bearings are toast.
