Driveability?
Ok so I've been posting alot trying to figure out where and how to get this jeep fixed. Th problem is two leaky pinion seals and a pinion bearing in the front diff. since i cannot find anyone local to do this, and i live 6 hours away...can i drive it with no front driveshaft and no axle shafts to keep the pinion from turning at all? im sure id probably have to drain the fluid to do that, but that would work right?

you need the axleshafts...without these the front hub/brgs will fall apart. keep the fluid topped up and that will hopefully keep damage from the failed brg to a minimum. When you get it fixed make sure it is cleaned/checked really well to ensure the other brgs are not contaminated with fillings from the pinion brg.

Just stop every once in a while and top it off, may be a ***** but at least your playing it safe.
