Theyre 25 years old by now... Most of them are gone. The ones you can find, are expensive and missing parts.

I've used the DRBII when I worked at Dodge. It was made by OTC and worked very well with a lot of nice features and capabilities. Good luck finding one for sale, the dealerships still use them on the older junk that comes through the shop.

My local dealership has one but they want 60$ more to hook it up to my 90 cherokee. Is it worth it, it will jack the diagnostic cost up to 140$.

What are you looking to find? The Renix system can be tested with a voltmeter and ohmmeter.

I was wrong, it was the DRBIII that I used. It has been a lot of years since I've worked at a Dodge store.

The DRB-III is nice. The DRB-II is a bit oudated by comparison, but effective and better than using just a multimeter.

not sure what I am looking for? Power is still good, good comp, oil press, temp, voltage, still great mileage on the HWY, all the emissions stuff is working. My in town driving though power is moderate at best.

It's not abnormal to have a black sooty tailpipe. Best way to see what is coming out of the tailpipe is with a 4 gas annalizer.
