Draining Battery
I just replaced the alternator this past week. I got a new battery yesterday. While the jeep is idling everything is fine. I can turn it off and it will start right back up. The problem is after I drive it for a lititle bit. I drove it not even a mile down the road, turned it off and about 5 mins. later I tried to start it up and I got nothing. What would cause the battery to drain like this????
I have a new battery and when it drained yesterday I put it on a charger last night and unhooked it when it said it was charged. I jus put it back in the jeep this morning and it won't start. Everything else works, the radio and all the lights.
Not that I'm aware of. I'm just totally puzzled. I let it sit there and idle when I got the new battery for bout 10-15 mins. then shut it off and let it sit about the same amount of time and it started right back up. I drove it about 2 miles home and shut it off and tried 2 restart it immediately and I got nothing but lights and radio. Could it be the starter doing this???
