So Ive got some play in my steering. Had an alignment done about 6 or 7 weeks ago and its off already. The wheel is fine while going in a straight line, but when I turn the wheel, it seems sloppy and loose with some play in it, and doesnt go back to "straight". So upon inspection I noticed the TRE on the end of the drag link where it attaches to the pitman arm seems shot. My question is, can I replace that TRE or do I need the whole new drag link?
Second question is, if that end is shot and its original (1999 with 140K) what are the odds that the steering knuckle end is going to go soon too, so should I just drop a $100 and buy the complete drag link?

When you separate the tre from the pitman arm you will find the knuckle at the other end totally sloppy and shot.
Replace all 4 pieces, drag link, tre at pitman and the tre on the tie rod itsself
check my build thread in sig for on where I got all my parts, they are going good and were pretty cheap.

4 pieces? Drag link is only 2 pieces, no? I thought it was one whole piece up to the pitman arm where the TRE was screwed in. Thats 2 pieces right there. Where are the other 2 youre talking about?
