Default Drag link questions

Alright so I had my Jeep up on a lift today and noticed that the drag link has play in it. It also makes a clunking noise when I turn the wheel all the way to the left or right. Do I need to replace the entire thing or can I just replace the bushings (since they are worn).

Also, if I have to replace the drag link; can I use a V8 ZJ drag link? Will it bolt up or will I need to do some modification?

Thanks in advance.

Prob bushings. If you can get the v8 zj drag for a decent price, go for it. No mods needed, I think.. Search it..

I can get a V8 ZJ drag link from the junkyard for $15.30 (can't beat it!).

I've been searching it but can't find anything on if it's a direct swap and is compatible with the rest of the stock XJ steering components I have on there.

There are no bushings on a drag link, just tie rod ends

you have a trackbar, a drag link and a tie rod. the zj tierod is the same as a stock xj. the tierod is an upgrade to your xj. its thicker in diameter but the inner tie rod end is non serviceable unlike your stock tierod which can have both ends serviced
