So, had a slight shimmy, changed the tires, shimmy gone. Drive for 500 miles, no issues, all of a sudden one day it goes into full blown death wobble. I am talking no control over the Jeep and it was going to shake it's self to death. Now I experienced and fixed DW in my Wrangler and fixed it, so I knew the first thing I needed to do was a dry steer, see if I saw any parts moving.

Only thing I saw moving was the drag link, it was like the pitman arm hole was wallowed out and the drag link is just bouncing around inside of the pitman arm when I turn the wheel. Is it possible for this to cause DW?

ANY loose or worn parts in the steering or suspension can be contributor to Death Wobble. Either as Cause or Trigger.

 

Yeah, that I know, but you always want to shut that little voice in the back of your mind up, ya know? haha
