The idea of drag racing is going from dead stop to a distance of.. o say next street light.. or on strip..Jeeps twist like a son of a beach...just look at those shown... thats a loss of power so its not the best start... so you basicly will have a twisted pile of jeep in time.. or you need a nice frame under it..the only reason to use a jeep... would be YOU want that look...for something to play with and 300 hp or 400 maybe... and not spend alot of money... then o yea go for it.. but not something you want to spend alot of money on for the sole purpose of beating someone in a drag... lot more bang for the buck out there now... chevy S 10... and lot more with full frames..

Dont get me wrong.. it will work fine.. but its not the best bang for the buck just for the hassle of reworking everyting ... get a mustang...they are mini rocketships to start with ... but then lots of them loose windshiled and sunroofs... they twist alot to...

I have had a great time drag racing on sand and dirt with jeeps and rails....give it a try.
