Hopefully someone can help me figure out why my 1991 jeep cherokee front door will not open from the outside. It opens fine from the inside. I am guessing that it's probably a pin but don't know where to start to look inside the door.

Mine does that. Both actually. If you have power locks, a lot of it is the linkages are in need of lube and the actuator isn't pushing the lock tab back far enough.
I did have a problem with the rear doors where I had to rip the door panels off and lube the living hell out of the mechanism and linkages.
