Door Switch Problems
Hey guys, I'm having a problem with the window, door locks, and fan switches in my Jeep, does anyone have suggestions as to what might be going on and what I can do to fix these problems? On the door locks, the plug on the passenger side is constantly doing something I don't know what, but when I take off the door panel and tinker with the plug, it starts working, then out of the blue, it'll start not working again and it affects ALL thee door locks, even with the remote it won;t unlock or lock, and on the matter if the window switch on the passenger side, again when i tinker with the lock plug, sometimes it causes the window switch to start working for a very short time, most of the time the window switch doesn't even work, but it works on the driver side controls, and one more thing, my fan switch does not work for the A/C or the heater, when I switch it over to 1,2, and 3, it doesn't blow the amount of air it should be blowing on whatever setting I switch it to, but when I turn it over to 4, it blows full blast as it should, ANY sort of help on these subjects is appreciated, thanks guys and sorry for making it so long, I felt a need to describe the exact problems I'm having, thanks again guys..

You pretty much answered your own question about the switches. If you move them they work! Then more then likely you have loose or bad connection. Clean them all up and make sure they are nice and tight. As for the blower motor working on 4. That would more then likely be the blower motor resister. That is located on the passenger side just behind the glove box. If you poke you head under the dash you will see a little plastic cover behind the glove box. Remove the cover and the resister is right there.

what I'm getting at, is yes they sometimes work, but for no particular reason, they stop working, and won't work for days sometimes even weeks til I decide to take it apart again, thanks for the info though, I'll look behind the glove box for that resister for the fan switch, I hope that solves it, I don't really like having the air on full blast when I do need it, would be nice to have a slow stream of air too once in awhile...and on more thing, I have looked several times and what I would need to take off to completely remove the door panel, got some new speakers I wanna install and not quite sure what to unscrew or unbolt to completely take the door panel off, if you could tell me what i have to do I could see if I was right or not..
