I have a 2001 XJ 4-door. The passenger side read door will not open (most of the time). The lock mechanism won't move either manually or with the electronic lock/unlock button/fob. It did happen to open once and then it wouldn't close - eventually I got it to close and lock.
The tailgate lock works, but only with the key. It won't work with the electronic lock system. It will unlock with everything else, but not lock.

Does anybody have any ideas on what needs to be fixed/replaced/lubricated to get these problems fixed.
