Default Door Hinge replacment

I own a 89 Jeep xj, My door hinge welds are partly ripped off and I think my hinges are bent back and my door hits my fender when i open it and the door hangs down about a half inch and almost wont shut or open. I have seen a lot of people just re-weld the hinges or replace the hinge pins. Im trying to find if anyone knows if there are any actual hinge replacements. as my hinges are bent back towards my fender. I can just cut my hinges off and weld new ones on. Or just any other fixes anyone knows about. id like any info.

Can you post a photo? When I fixed mine I could not find the OEM parts that were designed to be the fix. There are some aftermarket custom plates you can purchase but I wasn’t interested in that. Here is what I did:

Removed the door

Realigned the broken hinge with a hammer/pry bar/screwdriver etc

Used a Dremel tool to clean it up really well

Put a decent tack weld using a rented welder from Homedepot, originally I planned to run the whole weld myself but the one I rented was not running well.

Then I took it to a hotrod/custom shop in town and had them finish the weld with TIG and basically just professional everything up.

Now it’s painted and if I didn’t tell you it was reworked you wouldn’t know, I’m sure the body shop used some kind of filler over the weld but I was going for an OEM look and not a repaired look.

The actual repair is a lot less intimidating than thinking about doing it and realignment of the door went very smooth after the repair.

I just the other week repaired mine and unless the 89 uses thinner hinges, I can't see how the hinge itself would be bent. If it is bent, the only place I'd know of for a replacement would be from a scrap yard vehicle.

I had my door fall off into my friends hand last year so we took the door off and welded it on the top and bottom. That lasted a year or so before it started to crack again. Last week I took my wing (fender) off and rewelded it and added a strengthening plate. If yours has really pulled the metal out of the body you may need to cut some metal out and weld in a new plate, clean up the hinge and reweld it back on.

The hinge is slightly torn off

Door is very un-aligned and gets stuck when opening and shutting.

I think that's what I'm gonna end up doing. I would just like to put new hinges on. But can't find any anywhere. But I'm sure I'll end up just wackin my hinges and welding them up.
