so its late and my door is stuck closed.
i pry it open and look at the hinges and then i realize that the hinge is falling apart. the hinge is rusted and falling off the chassis. anybody ever have this problem and would i have to weld the hinge back on?

well i dont personally have a welder or anyone that has one.. do you recommend taking the door off and bringing it down to a shop for a quick weld?

Use a floor jack to hold the door up, it's more steady and allows for some adjustment. Tje welding is quote simple, so just make sure that you have a good door seal. It'll annoy the hell put of you on the highway...

called chrysler and they dont carry any kind of repair kit for my problem.. the door has slid into my fender and wont open more than a few inches.
could loose bolts be to blame? and would jb weld work on the hinges?

jb can do some crazy stuff but holding on your door is probly not one of them. go to an autoparts store like car quest and ask the people there for door hinge glue. If they dont know of anything like that then go to a body shop and get a weld laid. shouldnt be more than a hundred bucks to weld all the hinges back on.
