I've got a 1992 Cherokee with a broken door hinge. Not the pin and not where it's welded to the body, the actual hinge is broken. I've searched the forum and found everything except where to buy a new hinge. I called Chrysler and they told me the part# 5014090aa but it looks completely wrong. It's the front drivers lower hinge and it seems maybe my only option is a salvage yard? I did find some rear hinges for sale that look like they might work but I can see they're shorter on the body side. https://teamcherokee.com/rear-door-hinge-assembly-oem-cherokee-1984-1996/
If anyone has some info on what style hinges went on what years and if a rear 1992 hinge could work on the front I'd appreciate it
Hmmmm, well.... I say good luck if you can't find it. I just looked at Quadratec's website and they don't have any. Aside from using the Google machine, you may have to get to the junkyard. And while you're there, grab a bunch of other stuff you need, or MAY need.
Spend an hour researching how to easily remove a door hinge, then you can spend less time at the JY.
And if you look the part number I posted is superseded by the one they gave you.
Try putting a 0 in front of the part number you posted. That brings you here:
Any of those look right?

Thanks Ralph. Yeah that hinge looks totally different but I wonder if it's supposed to still work and it's just a new design. My hinge looks like This. Seems to be the common style in the older Cherokees but I guess they just aren't common for the hinge itself breaking.

I am trying to compare the pictures of the images I linked and the images you linked and I can't see enough to tell what is what.
Do you have the hinge out of the Jeep already?
Cause I think that is the only way you are going to know for sure.
Being able to get a good look at it.
My 97 parts catalog shows the hinge as part # 55235368. But Mopar liked to change part numbers, with no visible difference in the actual part. Like said, post a picture of your hinge.
Year: 1998 Classic (I'll get it running soon....) and 02 Grand
Model: Cherokee (XJ)
Engine: 4.0
Yeah, the top one needs a welder's attention. No problem with the hinge itself. I'm guessing there has been some serious abuse somewhere for that kind of failure to happen.
Looks the same as my 97. Want me to pull a hinge for you? I'm heading out to pull the mirrors, load it up with scrap, and call it done, so if you want the hinge, now is the time to say so.
Got everything sorted out so I figured I'd post an update for anyone with the same problem.
I ended up ordering a hinge for a rear door which is nearly identical to the front. The part seemed available from a few different suppliers. I ordered mine from teamcherokee.com for about $13. Only difference I could see is the body side is about half an inch shorter.
Because my lower hinge was still welded to the body I just hammered the pin out and took the door half of the hinge I needed and put it on the jeep. Those pins are in pretty good but using some heat from a plumbers torch they pound out fairly clean.
rear door hing compared with broken front door hinge I took out.
Showing difference in length of body side on rear door hinge.
