Default door damage fix

Hey ya'll... I wasn't paying attention backing up the other day, and a gust of wind opened my door (was parking it, with it open, ) and well it caught the fence and bent backwards...

this is the after effect... think it's salvageable? Or should I get a new door? and the fender?

Mighty tempting, but if I bring another jeep home I think my wife would me LOL!!!

I had someone make me an offer on my Cherokee. If it still stands I may be interested...

door will be a bit of a problem, short thick section right there by mirror and did it pull the hinge away from jeep at the bottom?
Fender should be easy, not gonna look new unless you buy new, but it should pull out ok.

From the looks of it the hinge was damaged. Ugh. Might have to look for a replacement unless I can get it somewhat back to normal. Any ideas of how to fix the door?

Do you have a body spoon?
Easy way to fix it (for the most part). Take a body spoon, wrap the spoon with 5-6 layers of masking tape. Open the jacked door, insert taped spoon into the space between the fender and door with the end of the spoon behind fender and the heel resting on the door. SLOWLY close the door on the spoon. Repeat this procedure, moving the spoon up and down in the effected area. This will straighten the worst of the damage. Hope this helps......

Interesting ... the exact same thing happened to mine a few years ago on Halloween. It's been "fixed" but the hinges are still sort of damaged, there's no door check so it swings freely. The fix? Well I'm ashamed to say I let 2 scammers come to my house & do a hack job. It was years ago when I was broke, gullible & desperate. I've since had it massaged by the Paintless-Dent-repair professional & until you open it, it looks good. If I had time I'd get a couple pics for ya. Door works okay tho.

How do you fix the hinge? I'm thinking about loosening the bolts to the hinge about a qtr inch as to fit a crowbar between the frame and the hinge and prying out gently... any thoughts?
