AND his is a 1999. But it might be the same.

He's lucky to have a pleasant chime. Back in the 70's and 80's, all we had was a crass buzzer.

My key minder saved my **** several times while, in a drunken stupor, I poured myself out of my Heep with the key still in the ignition.

Some people never learn. Since I now have kids, I have no sympathy for people who drive drunk, especially when they mention it so casually.

OP, my chime only works when I push the ignition in, which is just fine with me.

Sorry Reverend Deth.

I don't feel as though I need to grovel before your confessional and say that I don't drive drunk anymore. It just goes without sayng when you're 70 years old. I enjoyed drunk driving back when you were sh!tting green.

Keep your casual preaching to yourself please.

When you lose friends to drunk driving as I have, your outlook will change.

But you keep endangering everyone else while you drink and drive.

I tried this and it didnt do anything. I looked up and down and the only small green plug that was in their just deactivated the ignition. I took some pics. Here you can see the little green plug i disconnected. It actually has 2 small wires that are electrical taped together. If you can see it, its on that backside of the ignition near that big yellowy plastic piece.

You see all those wires up under the dash? Take a pair of cutters to them one at a time, with the chime going off.

Sooner or later you will get the right one.
