A doorless 4 door looks goofy, a 2 door doorless looks sexy.

But to be fair any 2 door XJ is sexy.

Obviously they crack with or without doors....so the door isnt the variable...nor is it the cause or solution to the issue.

K here's an update! Got it fixed and it's shutting beautifully!

I took it to a local auto body shop, the guy there took one look at it and went and got this prying tool that goes between the door latch and door jab. He lifted up on the bar, more or less bending the hinges back in to place, and just like that my door was fixed. Literally took him 5 seconds! The best part is he didn't charge me a dime!

As far as the cracks are concerned, I'm just going to monitor them, and if they get any bigger ill go have them welded up. Ive read about quite a few 2 door Cherokee owners having cracks in the same spot, with our without going doorless.

Thanks for all of your input, and help. There sure are some great people on this forum!

If he just bent it back watch for sag again in the future.

Bend a paperclip enough and it'll snap in half...

Oh I'm sure it will eventually sag again. At least for now it's fixed. We'll see how long it holds up! If it starts sagging again I'll take it in to get new hinges welded in.
