Default Door alignment and door jamb cracking?!? Help

I've spent the last 30 minutes researching threads, however i am in desperate need of some direct answers. Ever since I've bought my jeep my drivers side door has been hard to shut, and by hard I mean you have to really slam it, sometimes a few times to get it shut. It's not only annoying, I fear of the damage it's doing to my jeep. I did the doorless mod and i was able to align the door the best I could, and it shuts much better then before, but still it's ridiculous. It's obvious the door is sagging and I need to know how I can address this issue. I also might mention I have a 2 door. I'm sure those long heavy doors weren't very good on those hinges over the past 23 years.

Now can body shops usually align doors? As you can see in the pictures I'm getting some fractures in the door jamb that worry me on the drivers side. It's not from going doorless, I've only done that twice, the cracks were there before. Im just at a loss of what to do. All help is very much appreciated! Thanks

You sure it's not a scratch from the seatbelt buckle getting slammed in the door? That is a crazy place for a crack.

I just don't understand how it could be stress cracking due to being doorless? I mildly wheeled only twice doorless. Besides the cracks were there before I even cut the hinges last month. The door actually shuts better now since I modified the hinges. The upper hinge has a crack in the weld. Does it simply just need to be re welded?

You can get the stress fractures because the doors make the body more ridged and without the door it give a the body more flex. Although I have never seen it on a 2 door. I have seen it on a four door not a two. I guess you ( I ) learn something new everyday

There has been HUGE debates about wheeling doorless.

Evidence says that wheeling with doors is the same as wheeling without.

I found it hard to believe. But facts are facts.

Really!
Which category do you fall in? Not trying to argue just curious. I fall in the category that no door can cause stress fractures as you can probably tell from my earlier post.

Ive owned two 2-doors and had to weld the hinges 3 times between the 2. But I bet those cracks you see are just from wheeling your XJ. I was shocked at the amount of cracks I had when i clean the frame rails to weld in stiffeners. like more than a dozen and I only cleaned around where I was welding

Hey radio flyer. I'm not a big fan of the door less XJ. But I do have to admit that you do have a pretty clean looking rig. Even without the doors. LOL
