Id be willing to bet it is just those plastic snap things but then it just be gambling which plastic will let go first. That is just a guess, beyond that Id say try pulling the whole console down or even the headliner too. not usre hoe much trouble youd want to go through just for changing lights. But xj head liners do come down very easy. best of luck

Yeah that clear lens will pop out. Some have their clips on the ends and some in the middle of the sides. start prying carefully.

How do you remove a 98 XJ Light dome lens, somethings loose in mine and rattles around whenever i hit a bump. If i look in the dome i could see a washer or something like that sitting against the lens.

If your XJ is a 97 or newer just grab your entire front dome assembly and push it towards the windshield, it should unlock and come down so you can check the bulbs and wiring, to get it back in just reverse these steps

Nope, it's a 93... I was looking at your first post at the pictures and my dome panel looks exactly the same though. I will try to do it the same way, I just hope I don't tear down the whole roof while doing so. Should I grab it from just the black part and pull it down toward the windshield or grab it from the sides where the color matches the roof and slide it back toward the windshield?
