Thanks..... I'll guess we'll see what happens. I'll be the test dummy. Maybe heavy on the dummy, we'll see. .🙄 Ill change oil when I get home. It will be towed about 2200 miles. It's not getting hot, I keep checking...

I know I know.... I'll play captain obvious here... if there's that much concern for dolly towing it... why not just get a full car trailer and get it up off the ground?

I have done both my 96 xj, flat and dolly. Yes the early models did not have the true disconnect, but i don't think that is a problem on a 2000. I have maybe 5k on my towing it. And yes, the XJ has towed the Comanche home and the Comanche has towed the xj home.If you have one Jeep, you need another to get the broken one home

Hey Mouse. Just with dolly towing I'm at 61', that's long enough. And it's alot easier to store a dolly at the campground than a trailer. If I go to flat towing, then I'll tow my pickup. It's too wide for the dolly, otherwise I would have towed it. My wifes car is AWD, so it would have to be trailered.
Just trying to keep things simple...
