Default doesnt run right....

Okay so I posted on here awhile back and got some good answers but none have seemed to help...okay so I have a 4.0 inline six h.o. and the only way my jeep will run good is when it hits about three grand and a powerband type thing seems to kick in...other than that it will constantly bog if given more than quarter throttle it runs fine when idling or simply going but givin it gas just causes it to stutter out and kinda backfire...and also after awhile of drivin when the motor heats up it won't barely run unless I slowly give it gas and then floor it to clear out the gas that its dumped into the motor or something it just seems like its overheatin but the gauge says its fine....any help would be appreciated maybe if u have had similar issues...thanks

Possibly the oxygen sensor is telling it to run super rich?

Possibly the injectors are not stock or one or more are malfunctioning?

Idk if cherokees do, but if you've got a later model cherokee with a post- cat O2 sensor on it and no cat, then you've got a problem.

what year is it? Have you replaced your fuel filter? Run hi-octane with seafoam?

Checked all ignition components? Made sure your firing order and wires are correct?

Sounds like a fuel injector issue. Wouldn't hurt to pull that throttle body off and clean it up too.

What is your fuel pressure? Don't throw any parts, such as injectors and O2 sensors, at this thing until you know the fuel pressure.

You need a gauge to see what the pressure is, and not a tire gauge. Pushing the valve will not tell you if there is pressure, it will tell you there is SOME fuel there. It's like taking a leak. You're done pissing, but you still left a wet spot in your underoos.

Yea I tried the fuel tester the adapters didn't hook up right or something...cheap autozone crap I guess but I mean when I push down on the valve it sprays out all over not just a drizzle it sprays almost like sprayin a can of starter fluid
