ok so ive been w/o my 4wheel drive for long enough...with school, the ol lady nagging, and our newest addition caiden (9 months old)
money is tight, and i dont see me buying a new actuator in the future lol.. i was reading under the technical write ups and how to's and found this https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f51/fr...ss-91-a-38629/ if i go that route, how hard its it on the transfer case and the front/rear axles? And, how long can i run it like this w/o really causing some damage? some info and direction would be more than helpful ty very much

no problems. just do it.
i've been running mine basically locked in the say way. only i use a hose clamp around the splined shaft holding the collar in the locked position. i've been doing it off and on for 5 years with no problems to transfer case or axles.
when it's in 2wd, there is really no difference. but when you pull the lever into 4wd, it works like no other.

I used the hose clamp as well. works great.
and best part is all you need is a hose clamp $2.00 and a little gear oil $10.00
so around $12.00 bucks and you are ready to go.
