The valve on the fuel rail will have a little gas and pressure there but may not have enough for it to run on .check for voltage at the fuel pump when turning the key on ! You should hear it run as soon as you turn the key on .

Default diagnostic connector?

My lousy Haynes diagram (1986-1990) shows a yellow wire on diagnostic connector #1. The yellow wire should be +12VDC with the key in both the START and ON positions.

I also saw a diagram on the NET that showed the connector near the MAP sensor.

Anyone with a 1990 care to check it out?
My 1991 is slightly different for fuel pump ballast resistor/relay combination.

I fixes my issue. But what it did, is that the pump would not prime when key in on position. The truck would crank normal fire up and then kinda slowly stall, it would restrat fine and then do the same. The fuel pressure would be fine for the first 2 seconds and the just drop of to zero. It ended up being a ballast resistor.
