Does my jeep have the right CTS in it?
I know it seems like an odd question. My 89 renix CTS is testing bad. *verified by a volt meter* I'm looking for replacement sensors and funny thing. Nothing looks like what I have plugged into her.
It is to my understanding that the CTS is suppose to look like this.
I am 100% at a loss here, and hope that my answer is right in my face!

The one that's unplugged is your knock sensor. The one you're holding up out of the way is your CTS.

Wow, and unplugging the knock sensor does absolutely nothing to the engine. I feel like an idiot now. Some diagram I saw, showed the CTS in that location lol.

And, the knock sensor isn't critical for normal engine running. All it does is send a signal to the ECU if it senses pinging so the ECU can retard the timing. It would run fine without it.
