does it matter where i put the ground wire on my engine?

Default does it matter where i put the ground wire on my engine?

i have a 98 jeep cherokee v6 4.0L...i bought a new ground because it didnt want to start and the old ground was really loose..so does it matter where i mount the ground on the engine?

ive tried on the block by on something..im not good with engines at all and its still not wanting to start..

unplug the crank position sencer then plug it in it is by the back of the head on the driver side. it starts from the bellhousing the goes up to the wireing by the head

What ground is it (considering theres 3 main ones under the hood)? I would try to put that puppy back as close to where it was....who the heck knows why certain things are engineered and planned the way they are.

china bob...idk what any of those things are..like i said im not good with cars..now ystereos thats another story..but def awful with engines lol..

do you have a repair manual, look in it, if you don't, then get one, they come in very handy
