Does the coolant temp sensor control the electric fan?

Is the fan on a seperate cerciut for the AC?

The fan works with the AC, but does not come on when the engine is hot (except when the ac is on of course)

yeah the sensor would. what i do which will wear out your fan faster unless you put on a toggle switch is just run your fan manually. i always are watching my gauges so i never forget to switch on the fan but its always an option!
