panel below clock on renix jeep.. whats it used for?

Default panel below clock on renix jeep.. whats it used for?

what does this panel house in it? is it needed? cause i was thinking its another good spot for switches

System Sentry on the 84-87? XJs. Rare. Pain in the butt to work on due to all the sensors.

Wow thats looks like a pain in the ars with all the sensors.

Anyways if it's blank then theres nothing behind it. I used that spot for a temp gauge so switches should be fine.

i have a '90 and it is for absolutely nothing. But when you take the panel out my clock wires and all take up the whole area. I was thinking yesterday that i think i am gonna run my switches there too.

wow, have a '89 Laredo, don't have that crazy panel though. looks crazy, never even seen it b4.

alot of the older clocks have a board that takes up the whole area, be careful where you drill holes.

im thinking on putting mt trans temp guage there after trans cooler installed.

When I bought mine there was no clock there, where the display is suppose to be someone put a transparent decal that says "EXTREME XJ" I put the torque converter lock up switch there.

i took out the clock and gonna mount switch's in that area other than the board that does take up the area there is nothing else there
