Do you guys agree?
So, I am wanting to prepare my XJ for winter as well as I can. Call me over-the-top or unneccesary, but I just want to get this stuff to try and make my XJ a little more 'cozy' during winter, especially right before hunting trips (cue Huntingman, because I know he started an awesome thread about Jeeps and huntin season lol.)
Anyway, I am wanting to get one of those magnetic oil pan heaters to help warm the oil as well as one of those battery blankets because I will be installing and inverter and a couple outlets (compliments of an awesome homebrew mod in Fabrication.. God I love this forum), and I want to make sure the battery has top amps. I am also having the heater core flushed (obvious reason lol) and installing a descent cup holder for my coffee mug. Anything else or comments you guys have?

Before winter I grease all the steering and suspension. Replace wiper blades if they show wear. Check coolant for proper cold protection. I also check the underside in detail to look for any issues that need to be fixed before its 20* outside.

Other than the usual maintains stuff , in preparing for winter. I have never had trouble with mine. I live in Wisconsin, and keep it outside. The only problem I ever had, was I had left the dome light on overnight. I was going to jump start it. But could not open the hood. Moisture had wicked down the latch cable housing. And froze. Threw a tarp over the front end. Placed an elect. space heater under the tarp. After a hour the hood popped open. WD 40 down the cable. and all was good.

I like the heated mug idea. Might have to get that as well lol. Anyways, besides the usual precautions, what else should I look into? Should I have the front and rear diff fluids changed? T-case fluid changed? Anyone suggest a different weight oil for winter? Coolant is good, just changed that with a 50/50 mix when I swapped the radiator. I'm also thinking of having the driveshafts serviced if they need it. Thanks for all the suggestions guys!
