Default Do I need swaybars to pass NYS inspection

I've been running without front or rear swaybars since I lifted my Jeep about 6 monthes ago. This has worked fine for me, I just drive a little slower, but my inspection will be running out in another couple month's and a friend told me that I wont pass ispection without a front swaybar. Im wondering whether I actually need to have it attached to pass or he's just misnformed. I live in NY state btw.

if you dont know the guy doing the inspection it could be a problem, he might mark it as a safety issue. better off just lightly bolting one on for the test, just to make sure. then take it off when it passes

I live in NYS sway bars have been tossed never had a problem. just remove ALL hardware, brackets, any signs os an existing sway bar linkage and bushings and you will have no problem.
