Question about Truetrac install
I bought a used TT for the D30 3:73 and up.
I currently have 3:55, and am looking to go to 4:10. I know I'd normally need a new carrier. Does anyone know since I am installing a TT, will I still need a new carrier? Or will the TT replace the carrier, and I just need to buy a new ring and pinion/install kit?
TIA

the purpose of the true trac, detroit, aussie is they eliminate the carrier and them themselves are the new carriers, if your buddy with the chinakee has one ask him too. he might be able to set the gears for you too!!

Haha..."chinakee", you remembered lol...
He has an ARB in the back which he did, and I know it replaces the carrier. He said it took him like 6 - 8 hours though.
He's down to help, but I was just wondering if I have to bother pulling the carrier and all from the JY, or if I can just order a new R&P online? From my readins', the Aussie does not replace the carrier. Just the spider gears.

Just want to make sure I don't have to pull the carrier also from the JY tomorrow. Extra $30 for the carrier. Thx
