Default Do I need a new radiator?

My trans cooler line started leaking anti-freeze through the threads of the brass fitting. I tried tightening it but that seemed to make it worse. It leaks coolant after I shut the jeep off. Just want to know if there is something else i can do or if I should just buy a new radiator?

If the radiator is metal I might take it to a radiator shop and see what they think. You might want to go in there knowing the cost of a replacement though. They want to sell you something. Knowing that you can compare.

No knowledge, no comment on plastic. Bummer though! Good luck...D.

Almost any issue with an older radiator results in buying a new one for me. I don't do repairs on them any longer as one repair is often followed by another.. New ones aren't that expensive.

Replace the rad.. it's not too expensive to replace. I had to replace the one in my Jeep. However, getting the thing out was the tricky part.

yeah, i'd replace the rad.
i just picked one up today for a 2000 xj. list was 220, my cost was 120. but that's for a premium. you can get a cheaper one for about 160 list.
