How much modification is required to swap into the 98 xj? spring perches, trusses...not really sure. Are the axles wider than the dana 30, chrys 8.25 i have? dood only wants 100 bucks per axle, even if they sit for a while(I havent installed my lift yet LOL) what would yall say??

It's a lot of work. Width will be determined by what they came out of. Early Bronco had narrower axles and the 9" had 28 spline axles. F150 and full size Broncos are 65-66" wms to wms. Stock is 60.5" so a little wider.

Depends what they came out of, if you use XJ front 4 link or fords radius arms, and how built you want it. If you need to ask i think its safe to assume you dont have the skills required

if you want bigger axles, that is a smokin deal. i would buy them anyways, then decide if you want to do the modding to get them under your jeep.
if they have the cast wedges for the ford radius arms, you can simply lengthen the stock radius arms and use them under your jeep for the same capabilities as a long arm system. all you need is a crossmember fabbed up and use johnny joints on the ends of the arms.
sure you need to do something with steering, unless the axle comes with the stock ford steering links attached...
but it will all come together easy enough.
if you decide you don't want to do this, then you can always sell them at a profit.

thanks, i might pick them up after all, the guy wants them out and now said if i come and take them out myself and get rid of the truck 76 ford, he will let it loose for 100 total!
And as far as thejerm...just cause i ask, dosnt mean i dont have skills to fab, ive seen that alot on this forum with ppl saying it. Im sure its discouraging to people who want to learn, than ppl like you shut them down before they even try. Its like asking "whats this noise" and getting an answer, "if your asking than its safe to assume your def..." -End vent.... its always better to test the waters before you dive in head first..thats how you break your neck, or wallet in this case.

Everybody has to start somewhere. I've done several axle swaps, motor swaps, cages, etc at this point but I still ask questions because someone may have a better way that I haven't seen or thought of yet. That's what forums are for, to share information.
