hey everybody . Im new here and will be having some questions. my first is this. when im under the hood with it running and giving it a little throttle there seems to be a clatter or tapping sound under distributor cap. i havent popped cap yet to investigate. you cant hear it inside . its a 96 cherokee with the 4.0. also ive got an oil leak somewhere on upper or rear passenger side of engine. whats a common place to look at? ive already replaced valve cover gasket.

 

1. Look under cap.

2. Degrease engine and watch for where it first leaks again.
