DIY Front BPE's
Has any one made any front BPE and what'd you use?
Found alink on how-to use facotry rear sway bar brackets for rear BPE's. (http://www.lunghd.com/) Just bought a used lift and shock bushings were shot. Since I now know I can use factory shocks on a rear AAL lift (Just bought new monroe's last week for rear) I'm ok on the rear.
Now just gotta figure something out for the front. Found a few in the monroe catalog that might work, but I'd have to use BPE's:
Factory Front Shock:
32252
Upper: Threaded-Rod (S4)
Lower: Bar-Pin (XP4)
Comp: 13.000
Ext.: 21.125
Trav: 8.125
31163 (Monroe Shock Dnt Kow Fitament)
Upper: Threaded-Rod (S4)
Lower: 15/16 Eyelet (L1)
Comp: 14.25
Ext: 23.875
Trav: 9.625
37120 (Monro for YJ)
Upper: Threaded-Rod (S4)
Lower: 1-1/2 Eylet (LS38)
Comp: 14.500
Ext: 24.375
Trav: 9.875
Monroe Online Mounting & Length Spec's:

I was thinking of taking something like 1" wide steel (Dnt know bout thickness) and making sum L-Like brackets to use on each side of the shock but has anyone used something else from somewhere like Lowes, HomeDepot, or Tractor Supply maybe?

i've heard of others using the rear axle mount sway bar end bracket, but not sure if they used it for the front or rear shocks.
i've never tried it, but have made a set or two for others out of 3/16 scrap pieces.
i still use the bar pins, never had a problem with them yet.

I could replace just the bushings, or find a set of monroe's and force the Bar-Pin into the eye-let, but just seems there's more shocks options with-out the Bar-Pins and a whole lot easy to find.
The shocks I got with my kit are still in good condition but the bushings are shot on the side from the Bar-Pin flexing back and forth. And since I can get the YJ Front Shocks cheap and at the local parts store (LifeTime Warranty Too) it'd just be quicker for me to try and throw a set of those on.
