Disk brake anti-rattle clip install??

Curious what the clips in the disk brake hardware kit is for?? I know what the rubber cushions are for but these clips not a clue as mine had nothing like them...

Ok I found a pic of the clips. I know they are anti-rattle clips.. Mine had none. My question is which ones go where and how do I install them???

Those hold the brake pad to the caliper, don't they?

They eliminated those clips in 90+..

Those clips are used with the early calipers with the bolt on (two piece) outter knuckles.
