Default disable ignition key buzz

I was doing a searching earlier and could not find the answers I sought. I wanted to roll down the windows but I could not do so without turning the key to the on position. When I turn the key "on" I get the buzz that's let's me know she wants to play in the mud. Ha. But anyway.... I want to eliminate the buzzing. I'm sure to the location of the speaker just wondering if it is tied in with security features? I know a couple radio wiring harnesses, at least in a 03 sunfire, the door chime has to be included in the new kit. Thanks, I'll try to do this tomorrow.

Lol it's too easy to do a write up. Reach to fuse block grab speaker thing, remove and chuck it at a drunk friend.... Drunk friend is optional.

So, if I have the exact opposite problem, I'm assuming that replacing that part will get my beloved buzzer back?

That would be one short write up. Here's your write up. 1) Reach under dash. 2) Pull sensor.
That is all to it.

Short write up for some! I am not at all mechanically inclined and can greatly sympathize with seemingly silly questions.

Sometimes the seemingly silly questions are the one that stump a lot of people. It never hurts to ask. BTW, If the buzzer on your vehicle is the only problem replacing it should bring the buzzing back. If I would have known that someone would want it I would have saved mine when I pulled it and I would have sent it to you.

All but headlights still left on with keys out. I yanked mine out a while back and If I leave the lights on it will still buzz.

So, big surprise, the headlights on buzzer doesn't work in my Jeepie either (she's a hot mess). Where does that one live?

I'm not 100% positive for your year but I think it's on the top left or top center of your fuse panel on the interior fuse panel.

Thank you! I have to say, this is the best, friendliest auto forum I have ever been a part of. Must be because Jeep people are just better than regular people!
