Default differential for xj

Hi

Hope all are fine and well. Actually I have a 99 xj sport 2wd. I want to convert it to 4wd? Which parts will I need like differential and tramsfer case for desert.I cant find a donor so I will buy from a near by scrap yard.

IT is MUCH cheaper and easier to sell your 2wd and buy a 4wd. However, a Dana 30, NP241 transfer case, two new drive shafts and a box of misc. parts along with modifying your interior to accommodate the levers would be required should you wish to spend more than your XJ is worth

Need to swap the transmission as well. If you can't find a donor, you're going to find it's cheaper to sell what you have and buy what you want.
