When I bought my 96 Cherokee, it didnt say anywhere on it what model it was. In fact I believed it was an SE, but I dont think I am right.
My Cherokee is bone stock with basics like crank windows, reach across door locks and two speakers in the front doors. I have two extra speaker mounts in the dash below the steering column and glove box, but no speakers. There are also the factory spots in the back hatch and no speakers. I dont have a vent window in the front. It does have cruise control in the steering column and A/C but that is it. Oh and it has the I-6 and 4x4.
Can anyone tell me what model Cherokee I have?

 

Any Chrysler dealer can, as long as you have your VIN number.

Just google year of Jeep and vin number decoder . I did it a few months ago & found out the info you are looking for . Mine had no names other than Cherokee & I was able to find out it was a SE , where it was made, engine size & some other bs details.
