Well if it passed insprction I'd say you did well. You must know the Benoit Brothers being from Vermont. I went hunting with them in Maine. Lane has as awesome XJ. 4.5 and 33's.

sounds like a good deal! do yourself a favor, I'm not saying its there ... but lift up the carpet and check your floor boards for rust, sometimes it can creep down there and start doing work on your floor!

good luck with your new ride! be sure to search for help and info, theres tons on this site!

give us some pics!

Around here you would have payed at least 5. So I say you got a good deal. I only buy accident victims cause the prices are so high! But with the minuscule stuff you need to do you got a good deal. Just fix it right and enjoy it for a vary long time.

Right on! Another +97, 4-door, 5-speed! Where I am from, mine is the only one I've ever seen. Every time I'm out on the trails and I stop to talk to someone or what not, they are always like, that 4-door is a stick?!

If you've already bought your rig, it's kind fo pointless to worry about whether you paid too much. It's a done deal. Only thing to worry about at that point is how much more $ you should dump into it, and that all depends on what you bought it for.

I spotted a 95 XJ country for sale today. Stopped to check it out: 220,000 miles, pretty good shape though. Asking $2800.00 I think you may have done well purchasing your XJ.
