actually, I meant that the ARB is worth $200 new in my book. it's not heavy enough.


my front bumper weighs twice what an ARB weighs...and is easily 3 or 4 times as strong. it may not have a the prettiest machine welds or the ARB name, but frankly, other than for looks, I'd take a piece of 3/16" wall 2x5 welded to stock bumper brackets over an ARB any day of the week.

you are right.. a little pricey tho.. and for the record i didnt buy it.. came with the jeep.. bought the 99 with re lift swampers and that bumper on it for 550 cuz they didnt know how to fix the engine..
you're right, not many unibody vehicles would survive a hit from the side like that.

I still don't understand how that bumper got that bent and rippled from that impact. thick steal doesn't ripple like that...it bends in one or two spots, and then just breaks...and requires much more force to do so.
